Synopsis For The Middle Texas Coastal Waters

The chances for rain will diminish during the day today...as an upper level low moves across Texas. This will allow a surface trough over West Texas to push into East Texas...resulting in a westerly offshore flow later today and tonight. Onshore flow will resume late Wednesday as high pressure moves into the western Gulf of Mexico. Onshore flow will gradually increase through Friday night as the low pressure deepens. A cold front will push through the coastal waters Saturday afternoon with a strong offshore flow expected to develop Saturday night. There will be a slight chance of showers along the front.

Today West winds 5 to 10 knots. Bay waters smooth. Showers in the morning. Isolated thunderstorms until late afternoon. A chance of showers early in the afternoon.
Tonight West winds 5 to 10 knots becoming northwest 10 to 15 knots after midnight. Bay waters smooth increasing to slightly choppy after midnight.
Wednesday Northwest winds 10 to 15 knots becoming west in the afternoon. Bay waters slightly choppy.
Wednesday Night Southwest winds 10 to 15 knots. Bay waters slightly choppy.
Thursday West winds 5 to 10 knots becoming southwest in the afternoon. Bay waters smooth.
Thursday Night South winds 5 to 10 knots increasing to 10 to 15 knots after midnight. Bay waters smooth increasing to slightly choppy after midnight.
Friday South winds 10 to 15 knots. Bay waters slightly choppy.
Friday Night South winds 10 to 15 knots. Bay waters slightly choppy. A slight chance of showers.
Saturday South winds 5 to 10 knots becoming west 15 to 20 knots in the afternoon. Bay waters smooth increasing to choppy in the afternoon. A chance of showers.
Saturday Night North winds around 20 knots becoming northeast 15 to 20 knots after midnight. Bay waters choppy to rough decreasing to choppy after midnight. A chance of showers.
