The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a lake Wind Advisory... which is in effect from 11 am EST /10 am CST/ this morning to 6 PM EST /5 PM CST/ this afternoon.
Winds will increase to 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph by afternoon. While these winds will not be as strong as those experienced on Wednesday afternoon... conditions will still be hazardous over open waters of lakes where these winds will be slightly stronger. Boaters should exercise caution today... especially across the larger lakes... like lakes talquin and Seminole as well as the Walter F George Reservoir.
A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.
