Snow likely with patchy light freezing drizzle possible late in the morning...then snow in the afternoon. Snow accumulation of 2 to 3 inches. Highs around 25. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph.
Colder...breezy. Cloudy with snow likely in the evening...then partly cloudy with a slight chance of snow after midnight. Snow accumulation around 1 inch. Storm total snow accumulation of 3 to 6 inches. Lows zero to 5 above zero. North winds 15 to 25 mph shifting to the northwest 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Chance of snow 60 percent.

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 9 PM CST Friday.
Snow is expected to develop this evening... and spread eastward overnight. Snowfall amounts of 3 to 6 inches will be common across the advisory area by Friday evening... including the Redwood Falls... Mankato... and Fairmont areas. Locations south of the Minnesota River Valley will also be subject to the potential for a period of light freezing rain tonight prior to the arrival of the accumulating snowfall.
Snow will persist through the day on Friday... and gradually taper off on Friday evening. Northwest winds will become gusty in the wake of the snowfall on Friday night... which could result in areas of blowing and drifting snow.
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.
