As some of you know I am trying to become an published author. My first story "23 years", is in the formal editing process. I will keep you posted on its developments. I should hear back in a few weeks on how to edit my story to the professional level, then its on to publishing.

For the record, "23 years" is a murder mystery that is about a cold case, hence the name.

I am also beginning to work on my 2nd book which will be somewhat of a sequel. It will involve the same main characters in a totally unrelated storyline.

Anyway if you have any questions or comments, feel free to let me know.

And no I cant give everyone a free signed copy LOL, I have to draw the line somewhere.

Update timelime:

October 8th: Sent over critique editing form and a copy of my manuscript to the editors. Should take about 2 weeks to get back a critique.

October 17th: Received critique overview from literary agency. This was just a quick overview so I knew where they stood. I will receive the detailed critique in a few days. In the overview, they answer 3 basic questions; and the results were given to me in the email.

1) They believe that the corrections needed can be done by me, which is a good sign.
2) They also feel there isnt much work that needs to be done to bring the story to industry standards
3) They do feel some formatting changes need to be done; which is something I was figuring anyway.

October 23rd: Received the full critique and began working to fix the problems. Getting together with a friend of mine to fix rest of the issues. Most of them were cosmetic and dealing with dialogue. From what I gather the editors loved the storyline and the characters. Still awaiting an online meeting with one of the editors to go over the critique
