Through the kootenays rain at times heavy is occurring in a few
locales. Additional rainfall amounts of up to 10 mm are expected
today. Rain is forecast to ease to a few showers this afternoon.
Brisk northerly winds combined with cold temperatures will continue
to give extreme wind chills of near minus 40 to the b.C.
Peace country region today. The extreme wind chills are expected to
end later today as temperatures rise.

Periods of rain will continue over southeastern regions. Additional
rainfall amounts of 10 mm are possible today. Rain is forecast to
ease to a few showers or wet flurries this afternoon.
Winds have eased in the BC peace region but local wind chills near
-39 c are still possible this morning in the BC peace. As
temperatures rise this morning and winds abate the extreme
wind chills are no longer expected.
